TROJANS EXHIBIT
The Enthusiastic crowd during the Trojans Exhibit at SM Rosario last 12-13 November 2011 spearheaded by CPT RENEE FAYE P MONTENEGRO PAF, Chief Public Information Office.
The Exhibit includes the display of miniature aircraft, military uniforms (i.e. Flight Suit, BDU, and GOU), and a Photo Display that will feature the following:
- Photos of different air assets of 15th Strike Wing
- Photos of different CMO activities such as Medical–Dental Mission, Bloodletting, Tree-planting, and Coastal Clean-up.
- Action photos of different and air and ground training.

The 590th Air Base Group played the Pocahontas who won during the Trojans Talent Night last 11 November 2011 that showcased the versatility of the Trojans. |

RELINQUISHMENT OF COMMAND
COL ANSELMO DP JUNSAY III PAF (MNSA) acted as Wing Commander after the Relinquishment of Command Ceremony last 29 March 2011. The Commanding General Philippine Air Force LTGEN OSCAR H RABENA PAF presides during the event.

MEDICAL MISSION 2011
26 March 2011- The 15th Strike Wing conducted a Medical Mission 2011 at 15TH Strike Wing Hangar in coordination with Ms Teena Shotwell Clemente, Radio Host of Anghel ng Masa .
The beneficiaries were the adopted Barangays of 15th SW namely Brgy 48A, Brgy 48M, Brgy 49M. Following services were rendered during the Medical Mission: Optical consultation, General consultation, Quantumin, hair cutting, reflexology and hilot Pinoy, Herbal Medicine, and earwax removal for kids. They also provide Legal Counseling and livelihood program such as soap making.

CG PAF VISITS THE TROJANS
“This is my first home” This was an overwhelming phrase from CG, PAF LTGEN OSCAR H RABENA AFP on his message during his 1st Quarter Field Visit at 15th Strike Wing last 16 March 2011.
As part of his visit, CG, PAF himself handed 2LT VAN S MALALUAN an Officers Manual that will serve as a guide to every PAF officer on the symbolic giving of manual to most junior officer in the 15th SW.
LTGEN RABENA with his staff played basketball against Trojans. Compliments from CG, PAF were heard as he stepped on the newly tiled basketball court.
CG’s basketball jersey was hanged on the walls of 15th Strike Wing Gymnasium as a memorabilla of his visit. After winning the basketball game with one(1)point advantage from the Trojan’s team, CG with other PAF Staff energetically played badminton against Trojans team.
Sumptuous “binalot” was served after their badminton game. CG, PAF’s visit culminates after the Marriage Encounter fellowship at St Joseph Chapel. Below are photos taken during CG, PAF’s visit.

PAF INTER-WING
March 10 2011, Villamor Air Base, Pasay City – PAF Inter– Wing competition had it’s Opening Ceremony last 10 March 2011 with CG, PAF LTGEN OSCAR H RABENA AFP as Guest of Honor.
This annual sports competition was joined by 3 PAF Air Divisions, 4 PAF Commands, 13 PAF Wings and 11 other Units. Events to be competed are as follows: Basketball and Volleyball for Officers and Enlisted Personnel, Football, Softball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Chess, Shooting, Flight Run, Tug-of-War, Cheer Dance, Marathon, Lawn Tennis and Mass Calisthenics.
After LTGEN RABENA finally opens the competition, Oath of Sportsmanship and Cheer Dance Competition followed.
The much awaited first cheer dance competition was witnessed by the jump-packed PAF personnel.
Special Operations Wing grabbed the gold during this event. The activity was terminated after the photo opportunity with the CG, PAF. |

ETHICAL LEADERSHIP SEMINAR
An Ethical Leadership Seminar spearheaded by the Director for Personnel, MAJ FROILAN L PARAS PAF, was included last 14 March 2011 at 15th Strike Wing Fitness Center.
COL MICHEAL C MORALES (Ret) gave details on the different Types of Followership, while former Army Captain Geri Gambala enlightened the attendees about the Dark Side of Leadership.
The seminar culminated after the photo opportunity with the lecturer’s. Pictures below were taken during the seminar.

INAUGURATION
After a months of polishing, sorting and placing the tiles on their proper position like a jig saw puzzle, Trojans has finally sat foot and played at their newly tiled basketball court last 01 March 2011.
Headed by the Wing Commander,15th SW, BGEN ROY O DEVERATURDA the blessing of the basketball court and Inaugural Basketball Game was conducted.
590th ABG won over 3 teams namely; the Tactical team, Maintenance Team and the Head quarters Team.

PEACE WALL
In line with the AFP ‘s Peace Advocacy and its support to peace process, 15th Strike Wing personnel headed by BGEN ROY O DEVERATURDA AFP, participated in the Simultaneous Ceremonial Opening of the “Peace Wall”, conducted in all AFP Camps after the Flag Raising Ceremony last 14 February 2011.
An 8x16 ft wall was constructed to serve as a space for all individuals, military and civilian, to express their thoughts about peace written on a sticker to be posted on the wall. |

SAGIP DUGTONG BUHAY
Fifty personnel of 15th Strike Wing joined the “Sagip Dugtong Buhay” program of the GMA Kapuso Foundation last 11 February 2011 at Ever Gotesco Mall, Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City.
The 20th Attack Squadron initiated the project. A total of 22,500cc of blood were donated to the foundation. Proceeds went to Philippine National Red Cross. |

ILAW PARA SA KAPAYAPAAN
Team Trojans led by the Wing Commander, 15th SW, BGEN ROY O DEVERATURDA AFP, joins the whole AFP in the “Ilaw Para Sa Kapayapaan”, a Simultaneous Candle Lighting Ceremony was held at exactly 1800H last 08 February 2011 across the country in all AFP Camps and Bases.
This endeavor aims to convey the PAF’s commitment to peace and in support to the peace talks between the Government and the leaders of the MILF and CPP/NPA. |

NEW SET OF LEADERS
The 15th Strike Wing has a new set of Chief of Office and Squadron Commanders. CPT SHARON LOUIE C MONTALLANA PAF assumed the position of Wing Adjutant, while MAJ NILO B CELESTIAL PAF is the new Chief, Civil Military Operation and CPT FREDERICK L CURIOSO PAF is the newly installed Squadron Commander of 593rd Engineering Squadron.

Closing Ceremony EORA Seminar CL 02-2011
After 2 weeks of mind blowing lectures, the Explosive Ordinance Reconnaissance Agent Seminar (EORA) for Class 02-2011, 594th Air Police Squadron held its closing ceremony last 27 January 2011 at the 15th Strike Wing Fitness Center with BGEN ROY O DEVERATURDA AFP, Wing Commander, 15th SW as Guest of Honor.
They had a total of 40 graduates to include 4 Officers and 36 Enlisted Personnel. After the distribution of certificates and awards to the graduates, awarding of certificates of appreciation was given to personnel from 772nd EOD Squadron 710th Special Operations Wing.
LTCJOEL T REBULLAR, Group Commander, 590th Air Base Group introduced the Guest of Honor. Likewise, an inspiring message from the Wing Commander guided not just the graduates but all the attendees. Food was served after his message. |

A joint change of command ceremony of 18th Attack Squadron and 20th Attack Squadron was held last 20 January 2011 at the Fitness Center with BGEN ROY O DEVERATURDA AFP, Wing Commander 15th Strike Wing as Presiding Officer.

Bomb Threat Awareness Seminar
The 594th APS together with the 710th Special Operations Wing conducted a Bomb Threat Awareness Seminar last 20 January 2011 at the 15th Strike Wing Fitness Center.
The 4 hours seminar aims to equip the 594th Air Police Squadron with the necessary information on how to handle situations during Bomb-Threats and equip them with the basic skills and knowledge on Bomb searching and identification and the proper procedure in dealing with people who gives Bomb-Threats.
The activity was attended by 12 Officers, 69 Enlisted Personnel and 19 residents of Brgy. 53-A headed by their Brgy Chairman, Mrs. Elena B Amparo. The seminar was divided into 4 parts, first was the introduction to Bomb-Threat Awareness/ Bomb-Threat Response , second was the explanation of Bomb-Threat Checklist Form and Bomb-Threat Response, third was Explosive Identification; Improvised Explosive Device (IED), Mail Bombs and Military/ Commercial Explosives and last was Bomb Demonstration.

1ST SAFETY MEETING
To increase the awareness of the personnels of 15th Strike Wing the office of the Wing Safety headed by CPT ERIC P RICAFRENTE PAF, Chief Safety Officer, conducted a 1st quarterly meeting held at the 15th SW fitness center last 13 Jan 2011. The meeting was attended by Pilots, 1st sergeants, NCOIC’s, Commanders and Staff.
The following were presented after the open forum; Wing Commander’s Well Done Award Safety Section, 20TH Attack Squadron, for giving significant contribution to the Wing Accident Prevention Program and mission effectiveness through the strict implementation of their Unit Safety Program, 20th Attack Squadron for meritorious achievement in the field of safety and significant contribution to the Wing Accident Prevention Program and mission effectiveness, Fire Crash and Rescue Section, 596th AOS for significant contribution to the Wing Accident Prevention Program and mission effectiveness by conducting fire drills and fire call response and inspection of fire fighting equipment, 596th Aerodrome Operations Squadron, for meritorious achievement in the field of safety and significant contribution to the Wing Accident Prevention Program and mission effectiveness, MDAAB Hospital, for meritorious achievement in the field of safety and significant contribution to the Wing Accident Prevention Program and mission effectiveness, MAJ ROVER T SOBRINO PAF for having flown 2,500 flying hours accident free , MAJ NEIL D BUGARIN PAF, for having flown 1000 flying hours accident free, TSg Emerito R Angcao PAF, for meritorious achievement in the field of safety and significant contribution to the Wing Accident Prevention Program and mission effectiveness, CPT RANELL L BUGASH PAF, for meritorious achievement in the field of safety and significant contribution to the Wing Accident Prevention Program and mission effectiveness, SSg Rodel J Llanes PAF, for meritorious achievement in the field of safety and significant contribution to the Wing Accident Prevention Program and mission effectiveness.

Unit Commanders and Staff together with the Unit’s First Sergeants had a traditional new years call to the Wing Commander 15th Strike Wing that was made last 04 January 2011 at the 15th Strike Wing Gym.

FLAG RAISING AWARDING
The 460th Maintenance and Supply Group, 462nd Supply Squadron and 463rd Armaments and Avionics Maintenance Squadron was awarded as the Best Marching Group for obtaining the highest over-all rating of 96% in the Best Marching Competition for the month of September. The certificate was received by 460th Group Commander LTC FREDDIE D CONEJAR PAF, CPT ARVIN M FRANCISCO PAF, Squadron Commander 463rd and CPT JOHN PAUL DAVID S TRAJANO PAF, 462nd Squadron Commander.
