MISSION
To enforce and maintain military conduct and discipline to all military personnel and provide security of Base Installation and Equipment.

FUNCTIONS
To provide internal security including continuous physical protection of aircraft against enemy forces.
Enforce the Law on Base Regulations and Orders.
Correct, confine and retrain erring military personnel of the Wing.
Provide Honors to VIP and Ranking Officer visiting the Wing/Base.
Control circulation and identification of individuals.
Control/direct traffic inside the Base.
Coordinate with other civilian and military police agencies regarding police matters.
Provide Special Action Team in support of the Wing Mission.
Perform other related functions as directed by Higher Headquarters.

HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
The 594th APS is the forerunner of the 244th APS. It was re-designated as a Provisional Unit effective as of 01 July 1980 pursuant to Section 3 General Orders Number 259 dtd 30 July 1980.
On 16 January 1987, when then 240th CW (Prov) merged with the 15th SW, it was re-organized as a single Wing Base at Sangley Air Station, Sangley Point, Cavite City. On the same date, the 594th APS was designated as a regular unit of the 15th Strike Wing, PAF pursuant to GO nr 68 dtd 24 February 1987.
