MISSION

To operate and maintain base facilities and provide base services to organic and tenants units.

FUNCTION

Implements plans and programs in the administration           of the base facilities.
Support and maintain real properties of Sangley Air           Base.
Provide music for military and social function of the           Wing.
Maintain over-all base sanitation.
Provide chapel, billeting, food, and mortuary services           for the personnel of 15th SW.

UNIT HISTORY

          592nd Air Base Squadron is the former 241st Air Base Squadron dtd 04 May 1972. It was redesignated as provisional unit eff as of 01 Sep 84. 592nd ABS, which is a unit of 240th Composite Wing, was merged to 15th SW eff as of 01 Jan 87. Realizing the need of having a housekeeping function, 592nd ABS was again reactivated on 04 May 90 pursuant to GO Nr 140, HPAF dtd 04 May 90.
